WHA2 Announces Next Dual Broadcast

January 6, 2004 - SPHL (SPHL) News Release

CELEBRATION, Fla. – The World Hockey Association 2 (WHA2) today announced that the next dual broadcast will take place tonight, January 6, when the Macon Trax take on the Jacksonville Barracudas.

The WHA2 announced early in December that for select audio broadcasts during the season both team broadcasters will call the game together. For each period, one team's broadcaster will call play-by-play while the other team's broadcaster will be the color analyst. While the teams battle it out on the ice, the broadcasters will compete good-naturedly over the airwaves.

Listen as Trax broadcaster Adam Minnick and Barracudas broadcaster Woody Carlson call all the exciting WHA2 hockey action.

"I'm looking forward to tonight's game and sharing the airwaves with Woody." Minnick said. "We always enjoy having a dual broadcast to change things up a bit."

"Tonight's game should be a good game." Carlson said. "Adam and I should have a lot to talk about as both our teams have been streaky this season."

All games can be heard on www.IRN.FM and are $1.99 per game.

The WHA2 has six member teams for the 2003 – 2004 season: the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Lakeland Loggerheads, Macon Trax, Miami Manatees, and Orlando Seals.
