MIDLAND, MI - James Darnell homered twice and the Fort Wayne TinCaps captured Game 3 of a four-game series Monday night by a final of 15-8.

The high-scoring game produced 23 runs, 32 hits, four errors and four home runs.

The Loons took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the second when Dee Gordon rounded the bases on a triple coupled with a throwing error on right fielder Sawyer Carroll. The hit nearly went for an inside-the-park home run.

But Fort Wayne tied the score at four in the fourth on Darnell's first long ball, a solo shot.

They took the lead with a six-run fifth, which included a two-run home run by Darnell. The TinCaps' Matt Clark later added a three-run shot in the sixth, to which Loons' third baseman Anthony Hatch responded to in the bottom of the sixth with a long solo shot to center.

Two Fort Wayne hitters recorded four-hit games - Jeudy Valdez and Andy Parrino.

Gordon led the way for the Loons with three hits in five at-bats, plus three runs. He also tied a franchise-high with three errors in the game.

The game's start was delayed 28 minutes, and the majority of the game was played amidst a steady rain.

The Loons and TinCaps conclude their four-game series Tuesday afternoon at Dow Diamond with a business person's special beginning at 3:05pm. It's another Dollar Family Feast game, featuring $1 prices on hot dogs, 12 oz. sodas and ice cream sandwiches. Tickets are available by calling 989-837-BALL or by visiting Loons.com.

Right-hander Ethan Martin (3-0) will start for the Loons against Fort Wayne righty Simon Castro (0-1).
