Danville, VA - The Danville Braves found their winning ways again with a shut out against Greeneville on Friday night after an hour rain delay.

Braves starter Jairo Cuevas pitched seven no-hit innings to pick up his first win of the season. Cuevas struck out nine Astros on the evening only allowing one base runner that reached on a fielding error. Devin Anderson came into pitch the final two innings allowing two hits and striking out two.

Max Ramirez hit a homerun in the top of the second to put the D-Braves on the board first. Ovandy Suero, Manny Rodriguez and Derrick Arnold all had multi-hit games for Danville while Rodriguez went four for four with three RBI on the night.

Greeneville starter James Bass went four and a third innings to take his first loss on the season allowing six runs on seven hits, four walks and three strikeouts. Corey Bass and Brandon Stricklen combined to pitch the final three and a third innings for the Astros.

Danville plays the final game of the three game series against Greeneville on Saturday at 7:00 pm with Braves starter Carlos Rivas going against the Astros' Wilton Noel.
