Dante Washington Named A-League All-League First Team

Virginia Beach, Virginia - Mariner forward Dante Washington was named to the 2004 A-League All-League First Team it was announced today by the United Soccer Leagues. This is Washington's second consecutive selection to the All-League First Team. The All-League Teams are voted on by the league's coaches and general managers.
Washington finished the regular season ranked first in the A-League in points with 40 in 27 games. He also scored 17 goals which placed in a draw for first place league-wide with Portland's Alan Gordon. He also wrapped up 2004 ranked 10th in shots with 56.
Washington, who plans to play for the Mariners in 2005, finished the 2003 season ranked third in the league in points with 37 and ranked second in goals, scoring 18 in 26 games. He led the league in shots with 82.
