Dubois County Bombers News Release

DANVILLE, Ill. - Overcoming five of their own errors as well as an eight-run eighth inning for the Dubois County Bombers, the Danville Dans scored two in the bottom of the ninth to win 12-11 at Danville Stadium in Danville, Ill.

Mat Snider (1-1) earned the win for Danville, which was fortunate for him after he gave up the go-ahead run to the Bombers in the top of the ninth.

Nick Green (2-1) took the loss and blew his second straight save in Danville, allowing two runs on three hits and a pair of walks as he only worked two-thirds of an inning.

Danville jumped all over Bombers starter Ryan Billo, who pitched three and one-third innings and allowed seven runs - albeit only three earned.

John Rashid relieved Billo, throwing the next three and two-thirds innings and allowing three runs - one earned - as he finished the seventh.

The Dans had a 9-0 lead through four innings and a 10-2 lead through six while starter Bobby Ruse cruised through seven innings.

Ruse ran into trouble in the eighth when he allowed the first five Bombers to reach base; all scored, and Ruse finished with seven innings pitched and seven earned runs surrendered.

Jamie Pashuck finished the eighth for Danville but only after the Bombers had tied the game at 10-10.

Frank Rawdow hit his third home run of the season for Dubois County, and Casey Fletcher and Tyler Fullerton each hit their first of the season for Danville.

Taylor Luna was the only pitcher to not give up any runs, working a scoreless eighth for Dubois County.

The teams play again Friday at 8:15 p.m. at League Stadium in Huntingburg, Ind.
