Danger Head to Green Bay for Rematch
April 11, 2019 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Nebraska Danger News Release
GRAND ISLAND, NE - Revenge, party of one - your game is ready.
Back on March 1, the Green Bay Blizzard stunned the Nebraska Danger 53-52 with a last second TD to hand the Danger its first loss, which eventually sent the team into the throes of a 3-game losing streak.
However, a bit has changed since then, as the Danger are winners of two-straight now entering this weekend's showdown with Green Bay. The Blizzard is also looking the part of an IFL contender this year, as they sit at 4-2 on the year and 4th overall in the league. If they playoffs were to start today, Green Bay would be in with the Danger looking on from home.
Fortunately for the Danger, there's a lot of season left, and it continues with a trip to Green Bay this weekend. It's also a unique part of the year for both teams as Green Bay will turn around and play the Danger in Grand Island the following weekend. With the back-to-back nature of this stretch of the year, this will also mark the final times the teams will see each other in the regular season.
For the Danger, Tommy Armstrong Jr. and Davonte Sapp-Lynch are doing most of the heavy lifting. In fact, they are first and fourth respectively in the IFL rushing yards standings through six games. Receiver Eric Thomas is also coming off an impressive 4 TD game against Tucson, and looks to continue his dominance in the aerial attack.
Kickoff between the Nebraska Danger and Green Bay Blizzard is set for 7:05 p.m. Saturday at the Resch Center Complex in Green Bay. The game can be viewed on the IFL Channel on YouTube, with in-game updates on Danger social media.
