Danger Announce 2016 Coaching Staff

GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA - The Nebraska Danger Indoor Professional Football Team is pleased to announce the 2016 coaching staff:
Head Coach / Defensive Coordinator: Mike Davis
Davis enters his sixth season at the helm of the Nebraska Danger. Born and raised on the east coast, Davis played collegiately at Virginia Tech before spending six seasons playing indoor football. Davis has been with the Danger since the team's start in 2011, compiling a 41-35 overall record. In 2013, 2014 and 2015, the Danger had back-to-back-to-back best seasons in franchise history, finishing 11-5 and winning the Intense Conference championship before falling each year to the Sioux Falls Storm in the United Bowl championship game.
Davis previously coached with indoor teams the River City Rage, and the Omaha Beef. He led the Rage to the 2008 UIF divisional championship game and the Beef to the 2010 IFL playoffs after they started 2-4.
"I am excited to continue to build the Danger Football organization both on and off the field," Davis said. "The community of Grand Island has the best fans in the league and they deserve one of the best teams in the league to go along with that. I am happy that the Bosselman family continues to see me as the leader of the team for the 2016 season."
Associate Head Coach: Kyle Moore-Brown
A veteran of indoor football, Moore-Brown joins the Danger this season as associate head coach. He spent 15 seasons in the Arena Football League, playing on both the offensive and defensive lines. Moore-Brown won two AFL championships, was named to the All-Ironman team three times, and set a record for playing in 236 consecutive games. For these accolades, he was selected as an Arena Football Hall of Fame Inductee.
After switching to coaching, Moore-Brown started with the La Crosse Spartans in 2010-2011 before taking the head coach position for the newly created Cedar Rapid Titans in 2012. He is a native of Newark, Jew Jersey and was a three year letter-winner at defensive tackle for the University of Kansas from 1990-92.
Assistant Head Coach / Offensive Coordinator: Hurtis Chinn
Chinn enters his fifth season on the Danger staff, and second season as assistant head coach. Chinn coached for three years as the receivers coach after playing for Nebraska in their inaugural season in 2011. During his season with the Danger, Chinn recorded 37 receptions for 316 yards and two touchdowns.
The Miami, FL native was a standout receiver for the River City Rage in 2009 where he finished fourth in the IFL with 77 receptions and scored 11 touchdowns. Chinn played collegiately at Western New Mexico.
O-Line Coach: James Poynter
Back for a fourth season on the Danger staff is Offensive Line Coach, James Poynter. He spent his first season coaching the offensive line and spent one season working with the defensive line after spending six seasons playing indoor football, including two with the Danger as their starting center. Poynter was named as a finalist of the inaugural IFL Hall of Fame class.
A Plainview, NE native, Poynter was a lineman at Nebraska-Kearney where he graduated in 2005. Poynter, who also serves as the Fuel & Distribution Manager for the Bosselman Companies, and his wife, Ashley, have two daughters.
D-Line Coach: Bob Levy
Levy has spent 26 years coaching football, including 13 years at the collegiate level. He has coached almost every position on the field, including coordinating both sides of the ball. Levy is the former state director of the National Strength and Conditioning Association for Exercise Technique in Missouri.
Levy spent 18 years as a high school principal. Under his leadership, Chillicothe High School was awarded a gold star and blue ribbon for academic achievement, the highest award given to public schools. He is also a motivational speaker, having presented for various companies and businesses across the United States as well as Mexico.
Defensive Backs & Special Teams Coach: Jamar Love
Love will transition from player to coach this season after retiring from playing football. He joined the Danger midway through the 2013 season and helped the Danger earn three straight trips to the United Bowl in 2013, 2014, and 2015. In 2014, he was a first-team All-IFL selection at defensive back.
Hailing from North Little Rock, Arkansas, Love was a standout cornerback for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He spent time with the Tennessee Titans as well as the practice squads of the New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before making the switch to indoor football.
The 2016 regular season will begin for the Danger on Saturday, February 27th at home against the Cedar Rapids Titans. The Danger will square off with in-state rivals Omaha Beef in a non-league pre-season game on February 19th.
