Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm is pleased to announce the return of kicker Justin Syrovatka for the 2016 season.
Syrovatka (5'9, 200lbs) will return for his second season with the Storm of the Indoor Football League (IFL). Justin played collegiately at South Dakota State University, where he set the single season record for consecutive field goals made and set the season best percentage record for extra points. He was on the All-American Second Team squad, and he won the College Football Performance Awards Elite Placekicker Award. Syrovatka ended his junior season as a recipient of MVFC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award.
Justin is a graduate of Roosevelt High School. While at Roosevelt, Justin set a single-season state record with 65 extra points. He also tied a single-game state record with 10 points in a game. Roosevelt High School won the state title in 2007 earning Justin, Honorable Mention All-State honors. Syrovatka was an All-City selection in 2009.
During the Storm's 2015 season, Justin made four out of seven (57%) field goals and 13 out of 16 (81%) extra points.
