Everett Hawks News Release
Everett Hawks head coach Dan Maciejczak resigned from his position with the Everett Hawks football team this morning. Effective immediately, the team will begin their search for a new head coach.
After guiding the expansion Everett Hawks to a 15-1 record in their first year of existence in the NIFL, Maciejczak found it too difficult being away from his family. While coaching in Everett, his family stayed behind in Rapid City, SD, and Maciejczak admitted that with a newborn son, it just made sense for his family to continue building their roots in South Dakota.
In addition, Maciejczak will pursue his master's degree in South Dakota, and continue to help coach his high school alma mater this fall. Though he fell in love with the city of Everett and its fans, he felt that he had to choose his family first. All of us in the Hawks organization thank Coach Maciejczak for his efforts and wish him and his family well in all future endeavors.
