ARLINGTON, Texas - The WNBA has announced the 2024 regular season schedule. Each team will play a total of 40 regular season games (20 home/20 away). The regular season will run mid-May through the third week of September.
The WNBA season will break for approximately one month following games on July 17 for WNBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix, followed by a hiatus for the 2024 Summer Olympics. The regular season will resume on Aug. 16.
Under the leadership of second-year head coach Latricia Trammell, the Wings will begin their 2024 campaign at home on Wednesday, May 15 against the Chicago Sky at 7 p.m. All home games will be played at College Park Center on the University of Texas at Arlington campus.
Dallas Wings 2024 Regular Season Schedule Highlights:
First and Longest Road Trip (five cities): May 21 through June 2 with games vs. the Atlanta Dream (5/21), Phoenix Mercury (5/25), Los Angeles Sparks (5/26), Connecticut Sun (5/31) and Minnesota Lynx (6/2).
Longest Homestand (five games): Aug. 25 through Sept. 3 with games vs. the Los Angeles Sparks (8/25), Las Vegas Aces (8/27), Minnesota Lynx (8/30), Indiana Fever (9/1) and Washington Mystics (9/3).
Defending Champs: Dallas will play the defending WNBA Champions, the Las Vegas Aces, at home on Wednesday, June 5 after returning from their five-game road trip and will conclude the regular season against the Aces in Las Vegas on Thursday, Sept. 19.
Commissioner's Cup: All games played during the two-week period from June 1-13 will be Commissioner's Cup qualifying games. Teams will play either three Commissioner's Cup games at home and two on the road, or two at home and three on the road. All Commissioner's Cup games will be a part of the team's 40-game schedule and will count toward the team's regular-season win-loss record. The team from each conference with the top record in Commissioner's Cup games will compete for a $500,000 prize pool in the Commissioner's Cup Championship presented by Coinbase, which will be played on Tuesday, June 25 at the arena of the team with the best record in Cup play.
Dallas Wings 2024 Regular Season Fast Facts:
Starting the Week Strong: The Wings will play at least two games on every day of the week. Led by All-Stars Arike Ogunbowale and Satou Sabally, the Wings will play 21 games on the weekend, including six games on a Friday, six on a Saturday and nine games on a Sunday. The team rounds out the schedule with two games on a Monday, five games on a Tuesday, five games on a Wednesday and seven games on a Thursday.
Back-to-Back: The Wings will play six games on back-to-back nights. They will play the Mercury in Phoenix on Saturday, May 25 before heading to Los Angeles for a game on Sunday, May 26 vs. the Sparks. The team will play at Washington on consecutive nights, Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, and match-up against New York at home on Thursday, Sept. 12 before playing the Seattle Storm the next night on Friday, Sept. 13, at College Park Center.
