Dallas Wings Partner with Promise House to Support Griner's 'Bg's Heart and Sole Shoe Drive'

Arlington, Texas - The Dallas Wings, in support of Brittney Griner's annual BG's Heart and Sole Shoe Drive, are hosting a shoe drive in-game on Friday, June 17 in their game against the Phoenix Mercury.

Fans are encouraged to donate new to gently used shoes and can do so on the concourse above section 114. The Dallas Wings Community Foundation will also be accepting monetary donations.

All 12 WNBA teams have committed to aiding the foundation that Griner founded in 2016 as they advocate for her safe and expeditious return home. The Dallas Wings players selected Promise House, an organization that provides lifesaving care to youth ages 0-24, who are experiencing homelessness, as the beneficiary of the drive's proceeds.

Last year, Promise House served nearly 2,100 clients, making an impact on countless youth in the local community, and providing a haven for homeless youths to call home and lead the charge in ending youth homelessness in our local community. Services they provide include crisis intervention, transitional housing, pregnant and parenting teen services, counseling, and education and outreach to neglected, abused, and at-risk youth.
