
Dallas Wings Kick off Second Annual Teachers' Lounge Makeover Initiative

Arlington, TX - The Dallas Wings announced applications are now open for the second annual Teachers' Lounge Makeover. Schools within Dallas Independent School District (DISD) can submit applications between now and April 19. Sponsored by American Fidelity and Dallas Wings Community Foundation in partnership with Dwell with Dignity, one local school will have its teachers' lounge revamped.
DISD schools are eligible to apply online via creative video submissions explaining why their school should be the winner of the 2024 Teachers' Lounge Makeover. All submissions must include a creative video that is no shorter than one minute and no longer than three minutes explaining why your school should be the winner of the 2024 Teachers' Lounge Makeover. The inaugural Teachers' Lounge Makeover contest saw Speer Elementary selected in May of 2023, with upgrades to the staff space including new furniture, an upgraded workstation, a snack bar and personalized artwork. The additions included a new sofa, refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker and popcorn machine. The lounge was outfitted in school colors, while also featuring Dallas Wings paraphernalia, including framed Arike Ogunbowale jerseys. For more on last year's makeover, click HERE.
The 2024 winning school will be notified in May, with the formal announcement made on Teacher's Appreciation Day - May 7.
