Dallas Reassigns Jamie Oleksiak to Texas

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has reassigned defenseman Jamie Oleksiak to the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

Oleksiak, 22, has appeared in 36 games for Dallas this season posting eight points (1-78) and eight penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 19 games for Texas this season, registering 11 points (3-811) and a team-leading +11 plus/minus rating.

The 6-foot-7, 250-pound native of Toronto, Ontario was selected by Dallas in the first round (14th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.

Texas Stars forward Eric Faille has also been released from his professional tryout agreement with the team. Faille tallied two goals and four assists in 21 games for Texas this season.
