Dakota Wizards To Host Preseason Game In Hazelton, ND

The NBA Development League's Dakota Wizards announced today that they will play their 2009 preseason game against the rival Sioux Falls Skyforce at the HMB Public School Gym in Hazelton, North Dakota on November 20th at 6:00 pm CST.
"We have had such a great rivalry with Sioux Falls leading up to this 15th season," said Wizards GM Terri Benson-Holmstrom. "It's only fitting that we match these two teams up in a preseason game with a lot of intensity to get everyone excited and ready for the regular season."
The Wizards are able to play one exhibition game each season prior to the regular season. Last year the Wizards traveled to Tea, South Dakota to play Sioux Falls. That game ended with a 103-99 Skyforce victory.
This basketball game is a great opportunity for our school to raise money for student activities without having to do fundraisers. It's not everyday that a professional basketball game is played in a community of about 300 people," said Richard Bjerklie, HMB athletic director. "We are blessed with the generosity of the Dakota Wizards and there support to the surrounding communities."
Tickets for this preseason game are available the night of the game at the door. Cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for students, grades K-12.
