December 16, 2005 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
SERIES INFO FOR TONIGHT'S GAMES
Fayetteville at Florida: First meeting.
Arkansas at Roanoke: RimRockers lead 2-0. Arkansas defeated Roanoke,
119-114, on Dec. 14.
Austin at Fort Worth: First meeting.
Tulsa at Albuquerque: T-Birds lead 3-2.Tulsa won last meeting, 98-89, on
Dec. 9.
FILL âER UP: That's exactly what the Arkansas RimRockers have been doing, leading the league in scoring (111.6), field goal percentage (.504, 317-629) and free throw percentage (.736, 229-311).
GIVE AND TAKE: It almost goes without saying that the team that leads the league in scoring would probably lead the league in assists, and Arkansas does at 19.6, but the RimRockers are about as good as taking the ball away as they are at using it to help teammates score. Coach Joe Harge's team also leads the league in steals at 12.3 per game.
FLAME IN THE LANE: Indications are that the Florida Flame is doing to some of its best work close to the basket. Coach Jeff Malone has his team leading the league in rebounding (49.3) and blocked shots (7.3)
COWBOY TOYS: The Fort Worth Flyers are joining forces with the City of Fort Worth's Cowboy Santas Toy Program to help provide Christmas gifts to thousands of children in Tarrant County, Texas. Flyers fans, 12 and under, that bring a new, unwrapped toy to the game tonight or Saturday against the Austin Toros will receive a free ticket to a future Flyers game.
TODAY ON NBA TV: NBA Development League Vice-President of Player Development Michael Curry is scheduled to be a guest on "NBA TV Insiders" at 7 p.m. ET.
ADDED GAME: As bonus coverage, the Roanoke at Tulsa game which was played on December 10 and aired locally in Tulsa, will be re-aired on NBA TV on Sunday, December 18 at 2 p.m. ET.
