D-Fenders Outlast 66ers for Fourth Win in a Row

El SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles D-Fenders outlasted the Tulsa 66ers for their fourth win in a row, taking a 110-108 victory at Toyota Sports Center on Wednesday night. The D-Fenders have now won 8 of 11 and sit two games out of the final playoff spot.

In the first half, the D-Fenders (19-20) led by as many as 25 points, jumping out to a 31-18 lead after quarter one and stretching it to 65-47 after shooting 59 percent and holding the 66ers to 43 percent from the floor. The 65 points scored marked the highest total by the D-Fenders through the first two quarters this season.

While the D-Fenders had a 22 point advantage in the third quarter, they entered the final frame up 89-79 after a 22-10 run by the 66ers. In the fourth quarter, the D-Fenders went back up by 17 and, despite a late push by the 66ers (scored 8 points in 20 seconds, cutting the lead to 2 with 20 seconds left), walked away with a win.

Jerome Jordan totaled a game-high 25 points (12-of-13 FG; 19 second half points) to go with seven rebounds, Elijah Millsap tallied 24 points, seven rebounds and three steals, Gary Flowers finished with 23 points and seven rebounds, and Morris Almond contributed 17 points for the D-Fenders.

The 66ers (22-17) were guided by Rasual Butler (24 points) and Oklahoma City Thunder assignees Jeremy Lamb (22 points, 5 rebounds) and Daniel Orton (14 points, 7 rebounds). Additionally, Andy Rautins pitched in 17 points off the bench while Chris Quinn handed out eight assists to go with 12 points in the loss.

The D-Fenders leave for Texas on a two-game road trip, first stopping in Austin to play the Toros (NBA Affiliate: San Antonio Spurs) on Friday, Mar. 15 at 5:30pm PT.
