The D-Fenders had 32 assists compared to Albuquerque's 20. Los Angeles committed only 9 turnovers.

"It was a good win. I thought our guys played pretty good defense and we made some big buckets too," said D-Fenders Head Coach Dan Panaggio.

Players in their first or second NBA seasons can be sent to the NBA Development League up to three times in one season.

The D-Fenders are on the road this weekend with two games in Anaheim. Los Angeles returns home on Thursday, April 12 for their last regular season home game to host the Anaheim Arsenal at STAPLES Center, before the Lakers game with a 3:30pm tip-off. There will be a special on-court presentation during the third quarter break and NBA star A.C. Green will be in attendance.

Lakers season ticket holders who attend a D-Fenders home game will receive a special gift, while supplies last, by visiting the Season Ticket Holder Booth on the main concourse at the Figueroa Street Entrance.

On July 31, 2006 the Los Angeles Lakers announced that they had become the first NBA franchise in history to own an NBA Development League team. The Los Angeles D-Fenders play their home games at STAPLES Center pre and post Lakers home games.
