D.C. United News Release
WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 19, 2009) - D.C. United today launched a new digital platform at www.dcunited.com "Welcome to the new dcunited.com," said United President Kevin Payne. "We've worked long and hard on our new site to make it as responsive as possible to your needs. Please be sure to tell us about things you like, or don't like! We look forward to welcoming you again and again to our new digital home." A project internally managed by United's communications department, NavigationArts designed the platform. Phase I launch features four distinct editions (weekday, pre-game home and away and post-game), a dynamic multimedia center featuring a wide screen HD video player and ticketing enhancements that allow a seamless automated experience for the user. The new platform launches with the support of 26 advertisers including COX Communications, presenting sponsor of the site's weekly magazine show "Access United." The show, set for distribution on the site each Wednesday, gives a behind-the-scenes look at the club, its players and front office. A work in progress, Phases II and III launch this spring will see an on-line expansion of the club's RFK team store and expanded interactive and community opportunities for supporters.
