D.C. United News Release
WASHINGTON, DC (March 19, 2009) - Following a series of fan feedback initiatives, D.C. United announced today the creation of an in-house guest services department and the Fanatix Season Ticket Holder Lounge. The guest services department aims to strategically assign staffers throughout RFK Stadium to aid the flow of game-day traffic and deal with questions or concerns immediately as they arise. The Fanatix Lounge provides season ticket holders an exclusive area to deal directly with D.C. United Customer Service Representatives as well as learn about the benefits of working with the team's new partner, Fanatix. The initiatives are the first of several customer service enhancements for supporters attending United home games.
"As we continue to work towards the construction of a new stadium, we want to provide our fans with the best possible services at RFK," said United Executive Vice President Stephen Zack. "The launch of our new guest services program and the Fanatix Lounge are just two of the many initiatives we will be introducing this season."
United Operations Director Jon Radke heads the newly created guest service department. Under his guidance 78 game-day staffers will be deployed throughout the stadium. The new United employees will greet attendees, proactively provide information, collect tickets, and assist to issues and concerns throughout the day to ensure a positive game-day experience for all fans.
The Fanatix Lounge is located directly behind Section 308 on the concourse in RFK Stadium and will be serviced by D.C. United's Customer Service Department under the direction of Fred Matthes, Senior Director of Ticket Operations and Customer Service. The area is the brainchild of Fanatix Network, a free and user-friendly on-line season ticket management service based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The company can be found at www.fanatixnetwork.com
