D.C. United Agree Terms with Atlas FC for the Permanent Transfer of Edison Flores WASHINGTON, DC (June 22, 2022) - D.C. United have agreed terms with Liga MX (Mexico) side, Atlas FC, for the permanent transfer of Designated Player and Peruvian international Edison Flores.
"The club would like to thank Edison for the three seasons he spent in Black-and-Red," Lucy Rushton, D.C. United General Manager, said. "We wish him all the best in Mexico at Atlas."
The Black-and-Red signed Flores as a Designated Player from Atlético Morelia on Jan. 14, 2020. The Peruvian National Team midfielder made his debut on Feb. 29, 2020 in a match against the Colorado Rapids. In three seasons with D.C. United, Flores scored three goals and recorded eight assists in 41 appearances (33 starts). His first goal for the club was on May 13, 2021 in a 1-0 win against the Chicago Fire at Audi Field.
