D.C. United News Release
Washington, D.C. (October 9, 2014) - Kyle Davis has been called in to the U.S. Under-14 Boys National Team training camp by U-14 Head Coach Brian Johnson. The camp will take place at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, Calif., from Oct. 11-19.
The Bowie, Md., native was previously invited into the U.S. Soccer Training Center in May, before traveling abroad to compete in the prestigious Macron Galway Cup in Galway, Ireland, from Aug. 5-10 at the state-of-the-art facility at Drom Soccer Park. Davis was one of 16 players sent to represent the Black-and-Red in five, 50-minute matches against other Academies from across the world. D.C. United was one of six clubs, along with the Republic of Ireland, Chivas Guadalajara (Mexico), Maccabi Haifa (Israel), Ipswich Town and Scunthorpe United (England). The young midfielder was most recently invited to a training camp on September 29 with the U.S. BNT.
The offensive-midfielder has made four appearances (four starts) for United this season, scoring two goals. Kyle is receiving this call-up for having been identified as one of the most talented young soccer players in the United States in his age group.
