
D-Braves Split Doubleheader

Danville, VA - The Danville Braves split a doubleheader on Dare Day Wednesday afternoon at the ballpark against the Princeton Devil Rays. The Braves completed the suspended game from Tuesday night with a 9-6 win before losing the regularly scheduled Wednesday game 5-4 in seven innings.
Picking up Tuesday's game in the middle of the fourth inning, the Braves took over the lead with three runs in the fifth inning on a 2 RBI double by Eric Campbell and a Max Ramirez RBI single.
Max Ramirez went 2 for 2 with two walks and a hit by pitch while Eric Campbell went three for four to lead the Braves offense. Nick Tisone picked up his fourth win of the season after pitching four innings in relief of starter JoJo Reyes.
In the regularly scheduled game, Danville took an early 1-0 lead before climbing back for a 4-2 lead in the fifth inning. Princeton scored three runs in the final two innings to win the game. Quentin Davis lead the Danville offense going three for four in game two. Bryan Johnson took the loss for the Braves evening out his record at three.
Thursday night is Carolina Donors Night and Rockingham County Night where organ donors and Rockingham County residents will receive $2.00 admission. Jumpin' Jack will also be in attendance to entertain fans during the game. The final game versus Princeton on Thursday will be at 7:00 pm before the D-Braves hit the road for six games.
