
Cyclones Welcome Back Budish

CINCINNATI, OH- The Cincinnati Cyclones have signed forward Zach Budish for the 2015-2016 season. The 24-year-old skated in 30 games for Cincinnati last season, however spend the bulk of the year with the American Hockey League's (AHL) Milwaukee Admirals.
"Zach is a player we have seen in the past two years at times, and he always bring a great work ethic," said Cyclones Head Coach Matt MacDonald. "He has been a player we have leaned on in all situations, and we know he brings a lot to our team both offensively and defensively. He's also a player who will compete every day, and brings the character and attitude we want in our organization."
Drafted in the second round by the Nashville Predators in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Budish accounted for eight goals and 15 assists while in a Cyclones uniform last season. His offensive presence was felt early and often, as he registered a four-point outing (1g, 3a) on November 22 against Kalamazoo, and put together a pair of five-game point streaks from December 3-13 (2g, 3a), and December 27-January 23 (4g, 2a). The Edina, MN, native also saw action in 43 games for Milwaukee, totaling six goals and eight assists.
Budish split time between Cincinnati and Milwaukee in 2013-14 as well, skating in 16 games with the 'Clones and accounting for three goals and six assists. He spent the first half of the season with the Admirals where he saw an identical stat line of three goals and six assists.
Prior to turning pro in 2013, Budish enjoyed a successful collegiate career at the University of Minnesota, where he amassed 94 points (35g, 59a) over four seasons, and served as team captain during his senior year in 2012-13.
