About Friday in Chicago: The Express potted three unanswered goals to erase a 3-0 deficit and rally to defeat the Cyclones in a shootout by a 4-3 final score in front of 2,350 at Sears Center. Anthony Luciani earned a pair of power-play goals for Cincinnati in a losing effort.
SHOTS FROM THE POINT:
All That Jazz: For the third game in a row, the Cyclones and Express will face-off in a North Division tilt. The teams have been even in most statistical categories through two meetings; they each have posted 57 shots on goal, Cincinnati has had 10 power plays while Chicago has had 9.
Record Setting Home Opener: This past Saturday, the Cyclones drew a record crowd for a home opener. 6,993 screaming fans packed U.S. Bank Arena, which was the highest attendance that the team has had in a home opener since they returned to ECHL play in 2006. In fact, it was the 13th-largest regular season home crowd in franchise history.
"Auby" Close to Another Climb: Cincinnati mainstay Mathieu Aubin continues to climb up the franchise record in several categories. After a multi-point game on Saturday, he is just 4 assists shy of passing Sheldon Gorski for second on the all-time list.
