CONEY ISLAND, NY - Staten Island's Josh Maciejewski shut things down over 5 1/3 scoreless innings as the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season Class A affiliate of the New York Mets lost 5-0 Sunday at MCU Park. With the loss, the Cyclones suffered their first sweep of the season.

BIG MOMENTS
Yankees starter Josh Maciejewski struck out a career-high seven over 5 1/3 scoreless innings, defeating the Cyclones to secure the sweep.
Oswald Peraza went 3-5 with a double, triple, and three RBIs, and Isaiah Pasteur tripled in three to help the Yankees tally 11 runs.
Syracuse Mets rehabber Gavin Cecchini doubled in three at-bats, going 1-3. Cecchini played with Brooklyn for the first time since 2013.
Zach Rheams drilled a solo homer over the right field fence in his first at-bat in the ninth inning, cutting the deficit to 11-1.

NEWS & NOTES
Jose Medina pitched the final two out of the ninth inning, becoming the 10th position player to pitch in the 19 seasons of Cyclones baseball. Medina struck out two, hitting 87 mph on the radar gun.
The Cyclones have dropped four straight contests, falling to 4-5.
Brooklyn and Staten Island will continue the "Battle for the Bridge" August 11-13.
