Cyclones and the SPHL Playoffs
If the SPHL regular season ended today, the Cyclones would be in sixth place and qualify for the sixth and final playoff spot. As of right now, they would play the first place Knoxville Ice Bears in a best of five series that would start during the week of March 20th. According to reports in the February 9th edition of the Knoxville News-Sentinel, due to an arena conflict with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus, Knoxville will not have home ice availability for the first week of the SPHL playoffs and games #1 & #2 of the series could be played at the Florence Civic Center and those dates would be Friday & Saturday, March 24th & 25th. These dates can be firmed up this week.
