
Cyclones Host Reading Monday Night

ON DECK: The Cincinnati Cyclones host the Reading Royals in the third game of the North Division Finals on Monday night. The contest will start at 7:30pm at U.S. Bank Arena. The teams split the first two games at Reading in the best of seven series. Tickets will be available at the gate. The U.S. Bank Arena Box Office will open at 10am on Monday.
UPCOMING GAMES: Game four of the series is at U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday night (April 30) at 7:30pm. Game five of the series is also in Cincinnati on Thursday (May 1), also at 7:30pm. If a sixth game is needed, it will be played at Reading on Saturday (May 3) at 7pm. The seventh game, if necessary, will be next Monday (May 5) at 7:30pm.
ABOUT SATURDAY: The Cyclones exploded for three first period goals in opening claiming a 3-2 win over Reading. Olivier Latendresse scored a pair of goals to lead Cincinnati, as Cedrick Desjardins stopped 25 shots in his 2008 Kelly Cup playoff debut. The victory evened the series at one win apiece.
DAOUST RETURNS: Cyclones right wing Jean-Michel Daoust was returned to the Cyclones by Wilkes-Barre (AHL). Saturday was Daoust's first game in a Cincinnati uniform since Jan. 16. Jean-Michel had five goals and 13 assists for 18 points in 37 games with the Penguins during his recall. Daoust had 27 goals and 24 assists for 51 points, which led the ECHL, at the time of his recall.
FIRST ONE TO SCORE WINS: The Cyclones are 4-0 in the Kelly Cup playoffs when scoring first. Reading is 1-0 when scorin gthe first goal of a playoff game this season.
EXTRA SPECIAL TEAMS: The Cyclones led the ECHL in power play percentage during the regular season at 22.2 percent. During the Kelly Cup playoffs, Cincinnati has scored on 22.0 percent of its power plays, third-best in the ECHL. Cincinnati is also fourth in the postseason in penalty kill at 90.6 percent--having allowed just five power play goals. The Cyclones are the only ECHL team in the top five of both statistical categories.
TICKETS!: Cyclones playoff tickets at U.S. Bank Arena are priced the lowest of any team in the ECHL at $10 each. Tickets for the three games at home this week can be purchased at the gate, or by visiting the U.S. Bank Arena Boxx Office from 10am-5pm any day this week.
LISTEN UP: The three home games this week will be broadcast via the club's website (www.cycloneshockey.com). Should a sixth game in the series be needed--it would be played on Saturday, May 3 at the Sovereign Center. That game will also be carried on 96 Rock in Cincinnati.
