TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: With a goal in the final 11 seconds last night, the Reading Royals took a 3-1 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. Tonight, it's officially a must-win for the Cincinnati Cyclones as they'll look to keep their postseason alive and force the series back to Reading with a Game 5 win.

SCOUTING THE ROYALS: Larry Courville's escaped with another late-game win last night as former Cyclone Joel Champagne notched his second goal of the postseason. Their captain Yannick Tifu remains atop the Royals scoring leader board with 16 points (8 goals, 8 assists) in as-many games - although he has been held to just two assists in this series. Alex Berry and T.J. Syner have each totaled five points in the four match-ups so far. Riley Gill has started in eight straight games for the Royals, amassing an 8-3 record with a 1.97 goals-against average. He made 27 saves last night to earn the win. Fellow net minder Mark Owuya hasn't played yet in the series but holds a 3-2 playoff mark with a 1.61 GAA.
About Last Night: Joel Champagne tipped home the game-winner with just 11 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Royals to a 3-2 victory over the Cyclones in front of 2,811 at U.S. Bank Arena. Mike Pelech scored and Dan Eves registered a multi-point game in a losing effort.
Two of the Best: As expected, the final pair of teams in the Conference are also among the best, defensively. The Cyclones rank fourth in the ECHL by allowing an average of 2.56 goals-per game. The Royals currently pace the league with 2.13 surrendered on average.
The Later, The Better: Both the Cyclones and Royals have an affinity for scoring late in games. Cincinnati has outscored its opponents 40-29 from the second period on while Reading is outscoring opponents 39-25 in the same stretch. The Clones 20 third period lamp lighters are second most in the ECHL.
Multi-Point Madness: The Clones have found offense from all angles this postseason. All but one player has been able to put their name on the scoresheet. 13 different Cyclones have earned multi-point games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs - with Mike Embach leading the team in this category (6 MPG's).
