JUPITER, Fla. - Andro Cutura pitched seven innings on his 25th birthday, and the Fort Myers Miracle pounded out 16 hits to cruise past the Palm Beach Cardinals, 6-1, on Wednesday night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.

Cutura (4-6) allowed one run across his seven innings of work. He gave up four hits.

The Miracle broke a scoreless tie with four runs in the fourth inning. After consecutive singles by Ernie De La Trinidad and Taylor Grzelakowski, Alex Kirilloff ripped a run scoring double to right. Grzelakowski was thrown out trying to score as Kirilloff moved to third on the throw. The double extended Kirilloff's streak of reaching base safely to 33 straight games.

Later in the fourth, with the Miracle now leading 2-0 after a Ryan Costello RBI single, Jose Miranda doubled off the wall in left-center to push the lead to 3-0. Two batters later, Caleb Hamilton made it 4-0 with a single to left.

A wild pitch in the sixth extended the Miracle lead to 5-0.

Palm Beach scored their lone run in the seventh on an Irving Lopez home run.

The Miracle added a run in the ninth on a De La Trinidad RBI double.

Miracle reliever Adam Bray pitched two scoreless innings to lower his ERA to 1.11.

The Miracle win, coupled with a Charlotte victory, keeps Fort Myers 0.5 games behind the Stone Crabs in the Florida State League South Division.

Alex Fagalde (3-1) suffered his first High-A loss after allowing four runs on 11 hits in five innings.

The rubber game of the three-game set is Thursday night. First pitch is 6:30 p.m.
