Denver - The Denver Cutthroats hosted the Missouri Mavericks on Tuesday, November 19 at the Denver Coliseum. Denver defeated Missouri 4-1 for the Mavericks second loss in the 2013-14 regular season.

Less than a minute into opening period, the Cutthroats Cam Reid (Robin Soudek, J.P. Chabot) scored the first goal of the night to give Denver the lead 1-0 over Missouri. After regrouping in the second period, Missouri's Andrew Courtney (Matt Stephenson, Sebastien Thinel) posted the Mavericks first goal of the night to tie the score 1-1 heading into the third.

With a long shot from the board, Reid (Nick Schneider) slapped the puck past Missouri's Joe Howe for his second goal of the night to recover Denver's lead 2-1. With a pass from across the crease on the power play, Garett Bembridge (Michael Schumacher, Troy Schwab) delivered a one-timer into Missouri's net for his first goal of the night. Twenty-nine seconds later, Bembridge (Schwab, Kent Patterson) fired a shot at the Mavericks empty net to seal the Cutthroats win 4-1. Patterson minded the net on Tuesday night to stop 23 of the 24 shots on goal and tallied his second assist of the 2013-14 season.

This is Missouri's second loss this season, having fallen to the Rapid City Rush on Friday, November 15 in Rapid City. The Cutthroats and Mavericks will meet again on Friday, January 31 in Missouri.
