Victoria Generals News Release
Victoria, TX - Generals fall victim to the Acadiana Cane Cutters tonight by a score of 4-2.
Kaleb Keith started on the mound for the Generals tonight going 7 innings, allowing 4 runs and striking out 2.
Brian Portelli started the scoring in the bottom of the first, hitting a 2 RBI double that would score CJ Pickering and Blake Cooper, 2-0 Generals.
The Cane Cutters would score 1 run in the top of the second off of a double making it 2-1 Generals going into the bottom of the 2nd. In the top of the 6th, Connor Barron for the Cane Cutters hit a triple and would end up scoring on the play due to an error in the outfield. Score tied 2-2. Cane Cutters came up with 2 runs in the top of the 7th to take the lead 4-2.
The Generals will go on the road this week and will be back at Riverside Saturday the 9th for the first playoff game of the postseason. It will be a free ticket night sponsored by our good friends at Citizen's Medical Center, we hope to see you there!
