July 5, 2011 - New York-Penn League (NYPL)
Williamsport Crosscutters News Release

The Williamsport Crosscutters fell to 8-2 at Historic Bowman Field and 9-10 overall on Tuesday, as they were blanked by the Jamestown Jammers 5-0.

The Jammers got on the board in the top of the second inning, as Jobduan Morales doubled and later scored on a Williamsport throwing error to make it 1-0.

The score stayed that way until the top of the seventh inning, when Jamestown's Rand Smith hit a two-out RBI double to right-center to put the visitors up 2-0. The Jammers tacked on another run in the eighth on an RBI fielder's choice by Marquise Cooper to make it 3-0.

Jamestown added more insurance in the top of the ninth, as Smith drilled a two-out, two-run homer to left to extend the Jammers lead to 5-0.

Cutters starter Colin Kleven pitched six strong innings, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out four.

The Cutters travel for three games at Mahoning Valley before returning for three against the Scrappers on Saturday July 9. Every Cutters game can be heard on ESPN Radio 104.1 FM, ESPN 1050 AM, or online at crosscutters.com
