
Cubs Win FSL North Second Half Title, to Play Dunedin in First Round of Playoffs

DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The Daytona Cubs won their seventh and eighth games in-a-row after a second-straight doubleheader sweep of the Dunedin Blue Jays on Wednesday, and clinched the FSL North second half title at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The Cubs will look to win their second Florida State League Championship in three years and sixth in team history.
Daytona will take on Dunedin in a best-of-three first round series in the FSL North Championship. Game one will be played at Jackie Robinson Ballpark on Tuesday, September 3, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Games two and three (if necessary) will be played in Dunedin at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. First pitch of both games in Dunedin is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
If the Cubs with the first round against the Blue Jays, they would play in the best-of-five FSL Championship Series. Daytona would play games one and two at Jackie Robinson Ballpark on Friday, September 6 and Saturday, September 7, with first pitch of both games scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Games three, four (if necessary) and five (if necessary) would be played at the South winner's home field.
Both Championship games on Friday and Saturday would feature "Thirsty Thursday" prices, with $1 domestic draft beers and small sodas all night.

Orange Ave. in Daytona Beach. Ticket holders for the Championship Series will receive their money back if the Cubs do not make it past the first round.
The Cubs will host the Brevard County Manatees on Friday, August 30 and Sunday, September 1 to conclude the regular season. Friday is the final "Dog Days" presented by Grey Hound Pets of America. It is also Cubby's Crew, Ladies Night, Military Discount Night, and all fans will be eligible to win a Michael Kors watch courtesy of Reed Jewelers. Sunday is Fan Appreciation Night with post-game fireworks and tons of prize giveaways all game long.
