Crush Player Goes to the NBA

October 7, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maywood Buzz News Release

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed OC Crush player, Juaquin Hawkins, announced General Manager Larry Harris earlier this week. Per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Hawkins, 31, was the first player signed two weeks ago, by the Orange County Crush Basketball team, which is one of the new franchises under the (ABA) American Basketball Association. Hawkins played last season for the Long Beach Jam of the American Basketball Association, where he was named Defensive Player of the Year. He spent the 2002-03 campaign with the Houston Rockets and averaged 2.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 58 games.

The OC "Crush" organization is happy for Hawkins and bids that he fairs well in the NBA.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
