Colorado Crush News Release

DENVER, Colo. -- The Colorado Crush activated offensive/defensive lineman Bryant Shaw and fullback/linebacker John Peaua, it was announced today. In a related move, the Crush placed FB/LBs Chad Dukes (left ankle sprain) and Sunungura Rusununguko (left shoulder sprain) on the injured reserve list.

The roster moves leave the Crush active roster at the league minimum of 20 players.

Shaw (6-3, 287, Mississippi College) was placed on injured reserve on March 9 after suffering a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his left knee vs. Detroit on March 4. Shaw has appeared in four games this season, recovering a fumble, making one unassisted tackle, and posting one quarterback hurry.

Peaua (6-3, 260, Nevada), in his fourth Arena Football League season, spent the first nine games on injured reserve with a sprained left MCL. Peaua is in his first season with the Crush after spending his first three years with the Arizona Rattlers.

Dukes (6-0, 255, Pittsburgh), the fourth-leading rusher in AFL history (1,111 yards), has played in all nine Crush games this season. Now in his fifth AFL season, Dukes is currently tied for ninth in the league in rushing with 85 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries. He has also totaled 9.5 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Rusununguko (6-3, 270, Ball State) has totaled 7.5 tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery in nine games for the Crush this year.

Per league rules, any player placed on the injured reserve list must miss a minimum of two games before he is eligible to return to the active roster.
