
Crunch Team Up With Toys For Tots

Syracuse, NY (December 10, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch and the Crunch Foundation, the club's charitable arm, announced today that they are teaming up with Toys for Tots to make this holiday season brighter for area youth with a Crunch toy drive, which kicked-off on Wednesday, December 9 and will conclude on Monday, December 21 at 2 p.m.
With the donation of a new and unwrapped toy, fans will receive either a coupon for a $2 discount on Crunch merchandise or a coupon for a $2 discount on a regularly priced adult ticket for an upcoming home game. In addition, fans that make a donation will be entered into a raffle for a Crunch prize pack featuring an autographed #41 Jon Mirasty official game puck.
Fans are encouraged to bring their toy donations to the team's three upcoming home games on Friday, December 11 vs. Adirondack, Friday, December 18 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Saturday, December 19 vs. Albany at the War Memorial at Oncenter. Game times are set for 7:30 p.m.
Fans may drop off their toy donations at the Guest Services Table on the 2nd floor and at either the South State Street or Montgomery Street merchandise stand during the games. Fans may also bring toy donations to either of the two Crunch offices in room 218 or room 243 during regular business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All toys collected will be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program for distribution to needy families in the Syracuse area.
Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity is the fundraising, funding and support organization for the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps and provides support in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, who directs the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation has supported Toys for Tots since 1991.
The Crunch's next game is Friday, December 11 as they take on Adirondack at 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial at Oncenter. Season and single-game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444 or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
