COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Crew announced today that the club will kick off its 13th Major League Soccer season at home on Saturday, March 29, 2008, vs. Eastern Conference-rival Toronto FC. Game time is 4 p.m. The Crew will then travel to New York the following weekend to face the Red Bulls on Saturday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m.
The complete 2008 league schedule has not yet been finalized and will be released later, but each of the 14 member clubs - including the expansion side, San Jose Earthquakes - will play a 30-game schedule in 2008, with 15 regular season games at home and 15 on the road.
