
Crew Assistant Coach Jim Launder to Return Home to Madison

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Monday, November 10) - Crew President/General Manager Jim Smith and Crew Head Coach Greg Andrulis announced today that assistant coach Jim Launder will be returning home to Madison, Wisconsin to join the Princeton Youth Soccer Club as well as to be closer to his two children, Mario and Sonia.
"It is sad to be leaving such a great team and the great people associated with the entire organization," said Launder. "But at the same time, I look forward to this opportunity back home in Madison and to be closer to my children. I am going to miss each and every player and the coaches and staff I have worked with over the past year."
Launder will continue his duties as Region II Head Coach for the Boys Olympic Development program, as well as being a U.S. Soccer National Staff Coach.
"Coach Launder is an exceptional coach and person. We are going to miss him tremendously," said Andrulis. "On behalf of the team and the organization I want to thank Jim for his professionalism and dedication to the Columbus Crew. We all wish Coach Launder nothing but continued success, in all of his future endeavors."
The Crew will add one assistant coach to its current staff.
