
Crawdads Toss 10-Inning No-Hitter

Bowling Green, KY- The Crawdads held the Bowling Green Hot Rods hitless for 10 innings on Saturday night for the 'Dads first no-hitter since 2013.
Larson Kindriech got the start for the 'Dads with Randy Florentino catching. Aside from a walk with two outs in the fifth, Kindreich kept the bases empty during his six innings of work. He struck out eight batters.
Leury Tejada took over in the seventh, striking out the first batter, getting a fly out to center for the second out, and closing out the inning with a groundball to short.
Tejada handed the ball over to Michael Brewer for the eighth. Brewer induced a ground ball to short before striking out the final two batters of the inning.
Theo McDowell, in his second appearance for the Crawdads, entered in the ninth. He worked a 1-2-3 frame on six pitches, getting a three-pitch strikeout, popup to short, and a fly out to right.
The game remained scoreless after nine, but the Crawdads delivered four runs in the top of the tenth to put the 'Dads ahead. Trevor Hauver began the inning as the designated runner on second, per Minor League Baseball's extra innings rule. Cristian Inoa drilled a 1-0 pitch to left to score the first run of the game. Angel Aponte followed up with an RBI single and got himself into scoring position with his eighth steal of the season. Randy Florentino singled to left, scoring Aponte. Keyber Rodriguez grounded out but advanced Florentino into scoring position. Luisangel Acuña capped off the scoring with a base hit to left.
McDowell headed back out for the bottom of the tenth to close things out for the 'Dads. He struck out the first batter of the inning. McDowell got a fly ball to center for the second out but the designated runner on second tagged up and advanced to third. The next batter worked a six-pitch walk to put runners on the corners. With a 1-2 count, McDowell got a ground out to short which Acuña threw to Inoa at first in time for the out to secure the no-hitter.
The no-hitter was the first for the Crawdads since 2013, which was seven innings. The Crawdads' most recent no-hitter that was at least nine innings was in July of 2004.
