Wilson Tobs News Release

HAMPTON, Va.- The Tobs are on the road tonight to face their dreaded rival the Peninsula Pilots in a winner-take-all East Division Final.

The Tobs are 4-4 against the Pilots this year and 2-2 at War Memorial Stadium.

This is the second time in three years the Tobs and Pilots play each other in the East Final. In 2014, the Pilots took the deciding game, advancing to their second straight Petitt Cup at the time.

The Tobs drubbed the Wilmington Sharks 14-1 on Wednesday and are poised to play a good game vs. their nemesis on the road.

It will be a remarkable atmosphere for sure.

The winner of tonight's East final will play either Savannah or Forest City from the West in the Petitt Cup Final.

If the Tobs are fortunate enough to take the victory tonight, they will host Game One of the Petitt Cup Championship Series on Sunday, August 14.

Game time has not been set, but would be announced no later than Saturday morning.

Tickets for that game would go on sale Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Make sure to follow the game live via social media tonight. Our own Drew Blevins will have the call starting at 6:45 p.m. tonight from Hampton on our UStream page.
