Coyotes Select Three Players on Second Day of 2010 NHL Entry Draft

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the team has selected right wing Philip Lane with the 52nd overall pick and center Oscar Lindberg with the 57th overall pick in the second round of the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. In addition, the Coyotes selected goaltender Louis Domingue with the 138th overall pick in the fifth round of the Entry Draft.

Lane, 18, recorded 18-14-32 and 52 penalty minutes (PIM) in 64 games with the Brampton Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) last season. He ranked 3rd on the team in goals and 4th in points while being named Brampton's Rookie of the year. He also scored three goals in 11 OHL playoff games.

A native of Rochester, New York, Lane was recently selected to participate in the 2010 United States National Junior Team Evaluation Camp.

Lindberg, 18, appeared in 30 games for Skelleftea Jr. of the Swedish Junior League last season, recording 14-23-37 and 44 PIM. He led the league in faceoff percentage (60.4%) for the second straight season this year after posting a 63.4 faceoff percentage in 2008-09. The 6-foot, 187-pound Lindberg also appeared in 30 games in the Swedish Elite League last season and collected a goal and an assist.

In 2008-09, Lindberg, a native of Skelleftea, Sweden, registered 14-19-33 and 54 PIM in 38 games with Skelleftea, Jr.

Domingue, 18, split the 2009-10 season between Moncton and Quebec of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), totaling a 20-17-0 record with a 2.68 goals against average (GAA), a .906 save percentage (SV%) and three shutouts. He went 11-9-0 with Moncton before posting a 9-8-0 record with Quebec, where he was coached by Hall of Fame goaltender Patrick Roy. His 2.68 GAA ranked 7th in the league among goaltenders who played at least 20 games. In 2008-09, his first season in the QMJHL, Domingue went 5-5-0 with a 2.51 GAA and a .924 SV% for Moncton.

A native of St-Hyacinte, Quebec, Domingue was a member of the gold-medal winning Team Canada at the Under-18 Ivan Hlinka Memorial. He also played for Canada at the 2009 Canada-Russia Series and for Team Orr at the 2010 CHL Top Prospects game.
