Coyotes Recall Szwarz, Assign Hodgman to Portland

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forward Jordan Szwarz and assigned forward Justin Hodgman to the Portland Pirates, the club's American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 23-year-old Szwarz has collected 9-12-21 and 58 penalty minutes (PIM) in 42 games with the Pirates this season. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound native of Burlington, Ontario has totaled 3-0-3 and 19 PIM in 26 career NHL games. Szwarz was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the fourth round (97th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.

The 26-year-old Hodgman has registered 1-0-1 and two PIM in five games with the Coyotes this season. The 6-foot-1, 203-pound native of Brampton, Ontario has also recorded 10-20-30 with 49 PIM in 51 games with the Pirates. Hodgman signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 1, 2014.
