"Pink the Rink" Highlights this Weekend's Amerks Home Games

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans will play two home games at The Blue Cross Arena this weekend, hosting the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, March 27 and the Toronto Marlies at 3:05 p.m. on Sunday, March 29.
Friday's game is presented by Villa of Hope, a community of caring professionals that offers a range of specialized services for youth and families to develop skills for lasting success. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free 2014-15 Amerks Yearbook.
Prior to the game, the Amerks will host a Downtown Career Fair in conjunction with RBA Staffing and the Rochester Business Journal. The event, which provides an opportunity for local job seekers to connect with Rochester-area businesses that are currently hiring, takes place from noon to 4:00 p.m. and will feature over 50 businesses. On Sunday, the Amerks will host their "Pink the Rink" Breast Cancer Awareness Game, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester (BCCR) and the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. As part of the Pink the Rink game, the Amerks will wear special-edition pink and blue jerseys to promote breast cancer awareness. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase these jerseys through a silent auction held during the game on The Blue Cross Arena concourse. Following the game, the winners of the auction will be able to take the ice and be presented with a "jersey off the back" from the Amerks players.
Pink the Rink T-Shirt packages are still available. For just $20, fans can purchase a specialty pink Amerks T-shirt and one "best-available" ticket, with $2 from each package sold going to the game's overall fundraising effort. The packages can be purchased online at www.amerks.com/pinktherink, in person at the Amerks office, or by phone at 1-855-GO-AMERKS. Orders must be placed prior to March 27 and are available while supplies last. Individual tickets (t-shirt not included) can be purchased for just $15. In addition to the jersey auction and pink t-shirt packages, the Amerks will be selling special Pink the Rink Mystery Pucks on the main concourse during the game.
