Edinburg Roadrunners News Release
EDINBURG, Texas- The Edinburg Coyotes (24-34) had one more rally left in them heading into the bottom of eleventh as they squeaked by the Laredo Broncos (29-30) 6-5 Sunday night at Edinburg Baseball Stadium. Coyotes were able to get just enough offense going late in the game against a stout Bronco defense. Broncos were able to turn four double plays during the game and left 10 men on.
But the Coyotes were lead by Aaron Guerra (6-1), who made his first relief appearance, as he allowed no runs on two hits in the final two innings of the game. Guerra picked up his sixth win of the season. Dan Sausville (2-3) picked up the loss after he crumbled in the eleventh inning in which he gave the winning run.
Daryl Jones led the Coyotes offensively as he went 3-for-4 with 1 RBI. In the third inning, Broncos' outfielder Anthony Bennett walked. He then advanced to second off a single form Arnoldo Ponce. Both runners advanced on a wild pitch. Luany Sanchez then reached second base on a throwing error from short stop Angelo Fermin which brought in Bennett and Ponce to make the score 2-0.

With a scoreless tenth inning, Sausville came into pitch for the Broncos in the bottom of the eleventh inning. Sausville walked the lead-off hitter Gonzalez to put a man on. Matlock then hit a sacrifice bunt that brought over Gonzalez to second. Jones was then intentionally walked and Nunez was walked on a 3-2 count.
