Released Players to Enter Tuesday's WUSA Waiver Draft

Morrisville, NC (April 1, 2002) – The Carolina Courage submitted its 18-player regular season roster to the WUSA league office on Monday. The Courage also turned in a list of released players, which includes midfielders Megan Jeidy, Robin McCullough, Beth Sheppard, and forward Tracy Grose. These players' names will be entered into the WUSA Waiver Draft to be held on Tuesday.

Upon reviewing the list of released players from each WUSA team, Courage Head Coach Marcia McDermott may claim a player off the waiver list and add them to her 18-player active roster, but she then must immediately drop a player to make room.

Players released after March 28 who clear waivers on Tuesday can be offered a contract to rejoin their former team or are eligible to sign with any club as a member of the reserve team. Each team must have at least one goalkeeper on their two-player reserve squad.
