
Courage Begin WUSA Preseason Saturday

Morrisville, NC (January 25, 2003) - The defending WUSA champion Carolina Courage will begin a busy five-week preseason on Saturday, March 1. The Courage will play three exhibition matches in the month of March, including a rematch of both the 2002 WUSA semifinal and final versus the Atlanta Beat and Washington Freedom respectively. The Courage's other preseason opponent will be the women's college soccer team from UNC-Chapel Hill.
One of the highlights of the month will be the 2nd Annual Carolina Courage Fan Fest brought to you by Progress Energy. This great family event, scheduled for Saturday, March 29, will take at SAS Stadium from 2:30-6 pm. The entire Carolina Courage team will be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs, and pose for photographs. There will be interactive games in the Fun Zone, raffle drawings and giveaways throughout the day. Courage fans will be able to tour the stadium, and choose their seats for the entire season.
The Courage will begin its defense of the Founders Cup trophy on Saturday, April 5th at 2 pm at SAS Stadium in Cary. The season will begin in dramatic fashion with a rematch of the championship game, as Mia Hamm and the Washington Freedom come to town. Season seats begin at only $95 for the entire 12-game season and can be purchased by calling the Courage ticket office at (919) 573-7626 or by visiting online at www.carolinacourage.com.
