Countdown to Face-Off

For the second straight week, the Kalamazoo Wings and Port Huron Icehawks will be greeted by school children during the second of two Education Day games at Wing Stadium. On the season, the K-Wings are 5-5-0-0 versus the Icehawks and are 3-2-0-0 at Wings Stadium, including a 3-2 loss last week to Port Huron.

Commencing a three-game home stand this morning, the K-Wings will play 11 of their next 20 contests at Wings Stadium. Kalamazoo begins the day in fourth place in the IHL two points behind the Fort Wayne Komets, who are in third.

Deadlocked with 74 points, Port Huron enters Wings Stadium with an opportunity to break the first place gridlock with the idle Muskegon Lumberjacks. After today, the Icehawks will return home where they will play six of their next seven contests, including Sunday afternoon against the K-Wings.
