Fire in the Hole

Last night the K-Wings surrendered a season-high tying 45 shots on net in a 4-2 victory over Port Huron. The K-Wings, who are now 3-0-0-0 when allowing 45 shots on net, last gave up the season-high on January 3rd versus Fort Wayne in their last regulation victory before last night.

Lighting the Lamp

Scoring goals has not come easy for the K-Wings. With a four-goal outburst last night, it marked the first time in their last five games that Kalamazoo has scored over two goals in regulation.

Meat Cleaver

With three goals on the week, including two last night, forward Rick Cleaver has now tickled the twine 16 times this season. The 16 goals pushes Cleaver past linemate Tommy Lange for the league-lead in goals scored for a rookie.
