Kalamazoo Wings News Release

For the third time in six nights, the Kalamazoo Wings will face-off against the Elmira Jackals. The K-Wings are 7-1-0 against Elmira this season, including a pair of wins last weekend in Elmira. Kalamazoo has won three straight over Elmira; however, the Jackals lone victory against the K-Wings did occur at Wings Stadium on January 27th.

Kalamazoo seems to be peeking at the right time. A win last Sunday has tied the longest winning streak of the season for the K-Wings (five games). The K-Wings start the night 10 points behind Muskegon for first place in both the Eastern Conference and the league. Kalamazoo is also closing in on Fort Wayne and Rockford. The K-Wings trail the Komets by four points for second place and the IceHogs by two points for third overall in the UHL.

It's now or never for the Elmira Jackals. With six games remaining in their regular season, Elmira trails Chicago by nine points and Port Huron by eight for the final two playoffs spots in the league. The Jackals, who are also on a six-game losing streak, need to win a minimum of four of their last six games coupled with losses by Chicago and Port Huron to secure a playoff spot.
