Revving Up the "Kar"
With a goal last night, forward Kory Karlander extended his point streak to six games. Karlander's goal, which proved to be the game-winning tally, also set the K-Wings' UHL franchise record for most game-winners in a career with 12.
Chasing a Record
Karlander is nearing another K-Wings record. With 30 power-play goals in his K-Wings UHL career, Karlander needs one more man advantage goal to tie the record currently held by Randy Holmes (31), who played for Kalamazoo from 1999-2002.
Back to Back
Kalamazoo's victory last night against Port Huron marked the first-time since January 12th and 13th that the K-Wings won back to back games. The current two-game winning streak is the longest for Kalamazoo since their season high five-game streak from December 29th-January 6th.
Beast of the East
Kalamazoo has faired well in contests against their own conference. Entering this evening Kalamazoo is 18-10-2 against Eastern Conference opponents, including 4-3-0 versus Flint.
